why does pxi hang with imaq grab?

I am using a pxi version of 1408 imaq card. When I try to grab a picture using the explorer, the system hangs.

Which controller and OS are you using? Also, could you tell me which version of MAX and NI-IMAQ you have. You can find the version number of NI-IMAQ under the software folder in MAX. As a general practice, it would be a good idea to make sure you have the latest driver version, which currently is 2.5.3.

Controller is 8156, OS is Win98, IMAQ 2.5.3.

I have found the answer: The BIOS needed to have its PCI section turned on. There were about 6, or so, items that were defaulted to OFF. We turned them all on and the system now functions as desired.
