Hi, Anne,
when you will be asked next time, just place a checkmark in the Cache component from this distribution checkbox in the Locate Distribution dialog box to enable caching, then you will be never prompted about this in a future.
refer to doc Caching Installer Distribution Components (Windows)

Well, another suggestion: Go to Installer Properties, then select Additional Installers, and check Installer Source location for each installer included into distribution. Normally each cached installer should be marked as Local Cache in the Distribution Title indicator. In worst case you can make a copy of your CD on your hard drive, then change installer source location manually.

Hey tj robert,
The source files for LabVIEW must be specified when the window pops up and calls for them during the installer build. You should copy these files to your hard drive before beginning the installer build. Once they are copied from the LabVIEW disc, begin the installer build and point to them to the location on your hard drive during the installer build.
This KnowledgeBase article explains why missing distribution errors (AKA source distribution errors) occur. This KnowledgeBase article explains how to stop the errors.
I hope this helps 🙂

Are you all using the NI-IMAQ or Vision Run-Time installers in your executable builds? This software installer requires activation.
If you are not using the NI-IMAQ or Vision Run-Time installers, have a look at the links in my previous post.
Also have a look at this forum post.
Note that the exact build of the software (ex: DAQmx 8.6.0f6) must match what you have built in your executable and what you are pointing to during the installer build. Verify this version in the Measurement & Automation Explorer under the Software tree.
I hope this helps! 🙂
