I acquire a triangular shaped signals from what is supposed to be a digital serial data signal. What does the triangle signals mean?

Hi, this is my first post, hopefully I put the post under the correct heading.

I am tapping a signal coming from a hearing aid controller unit, and it gives me this weird triangular shaped

symbols amidst the high/low signals. I thought a digital serial data signals should only contain a high and low?
Why would someone use a triangular wave whose high/low is unclear?

Or is it a form of encryption?
The controller box is of model Hi-Pro.
I have used a buffer circuit to rule out the possibility of noise, but the triangular waves are still there.

I attach the photos of the signals. (mine is an old oscillator, cannot transfer the data into computer yet..)

Thank you very much for your guidance. ^^

Unless you are using the program called Measure (an add-on for Excel), this would not be the correct board.

In any case, you have not mentioned what it is that you are using to capture the signal. Could it be that your sample rate is just to low?
