PCI-6033E device does not respond to the selected base address

I am trying to install a PCI-6033E card on a Dell Dimenssion 8100 series system,which has windows98 loaded.Windows 98 Detects the card. But when i start the measurement to test if the Pci-6033E card isworking, i get the following Error

" Device Not responding for the Base Address do u still want to continue any way"

Any ideas

Hello,

1. Please try a different slot in the computer.
2. Take out any card if present and put this card and see if the error goes away or not. then put the others.
3. Go to Device Manager and see if there are some yellow question marks. If Yes, then right click on them and do uninstall. After that, again "scan for hardware Changes" and see if the computer detects new hardware and if the hardware shows up as Data Acquisition Devices in Device Manager. If yes, then it sould be working fine.

I tried the Above steps but i still keep getting the
same error when i try to run the test panels

" The Device is not responding from the selected base
Address Do you want to run the test panels any way" At this point of time i have just plugged in my PCI card
and trying to run the test panel. To run a test panel
does all the equipment need to be connected.

Hi,

First of all, is their any DIP , DMA or IRQ settings to be done . If so u configure the DIP settings excatly opposite to what u r supposed to do. Even if this doesn't work go to device manager ;DAQ properties and under resources ,change setting to basic configuration 1 or 2.This may solve ur problem .
