Required rights for DAQCARD-AI-16E-4

We have several users of the DAQCARD-AI-16E-4 on Compaq EVO800C notebook hardware.
For the ones that have administrator-privilege these cards work fine. For the non-administrators the card is not recognized by the software. We have already changed the rights on 'config.mxs'.
Is there a workaround without making the users administrators on their portables ?

What are the other users configured as? I can tell you that a user from the Power User group should not have any problems installing the hardware so this is my first option.

You can also try allowing access to the following folders or files:

1) Program Files\National Instruments\MAX
2) [root drive]:\VXIpnp\ (this really only applies to NI VISA related hardware)
3) There is one important file that MAX tries to write to in order to setup the configuration. When MAX is first installed it creates a niconfig.daq file in the \\WINNT directory. I have noticed that MAX accesses this file for writing so you may want to allow access to it for the respective users. This will be the default file and will not change unless the user
selects the Save Configuration As... option in the Tools -> NI-DAQ Configuration menu in MAX and saves the configuration under a different folder or name.
