Using ZIP VI in PXI Target

Hi, I'm Simone, I've a little question, someone can help me?

I try to use ZIP VI to create ZIP file on real time target PXI 8196 but the "New Zip File" return a general error when I try to use

on real time, meanwhile the VI function correctly in My Computer PC.

Is it possible to use ZIP VI on PXI Target with Real Time ?

My system configuration is:

LabVIEW 8.0.1 Professional Development System

LabVIEW 8.0.1 Real Time Module

What error is it exactly returning?

I have a guts feeling that ZIP is not supported on RT systems, but we need to check into this.

Hi Danile, thanks for your support.

I think that I'm posting my question in the wrong place, I'm so busy that I post the question in the first forum link that I find!

You can see the error in the attached bitmap, I simply try to create a ZIP file in the C:\ directory of the real time target; it's very strange that RT systems don't support ZIP file, it's only a compression software procedure.

I tested it as well and get the same results. After talking with our developers, they have confirmed ZIP Functions are not supported on LV RT, so you are not doing anything wrong, it is just the way it is supposed to work.

Thanks Alessio to confirm my suspect,

the use ZIP Functions are not fundamental for my RT system, so I just avoid to use it;

but I think that the NI developers take account of to support these functions in new LabView RT release.
