what components do I need for the thermocouple measurement

Can anyone give me a clue of what devices I need to take the thermocouple measurement?

Thank you!

Hi island,
I recommend that you start by looking at "Taking Thermocouple Measurements."
As far as data acquisition hardware, you can start at ni.com/dataacquisition and narrow your search to include thermocouple under measurement type.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Thanks,

Hello Luke,

Thank you very much, really appreciate it!

I saw the "isolated temperature solution" website provides the following devices

SCXI-1000 SCXI-1000 4-Slot Chassis, U.S. 120 VAC *
SCXI-1600 NI SCXI-1600, USB Data Acquisition and Control Module for SCXI
SCXI-1125 SCXI-1125, 8 Channel Programmable Isolated Input Module
SCXI-1328 SCXI-1328 High-Accuracy Isothermal Terminal Block

Do these modules accomplish the complete requirement?

What makes difference between SCXI-1112 and SCXI-1125? Thank you!

Hi island,

Those four components would make a nice system for thermocouple measurements.

The 1112 is designed specifically for thermocouple measurements.  The 1125 can be used for thermocouple measurements, but is designed for general low-voltage measurements.  More specifically:
The 1112 has a range of +-100 mV and has cold junction sensors for each channel.
The 1125 has a range of +-5V and one cold junction sensor.

You would not need a connector block (like the 1328) if you used the 1112, as it is designed for thermocouples to be connected directly.

You may also want to consider a CompactDAQ system.  The cDAQ is a small, rugged and simple system that is great for thermocouple measurements.  I recommend that you call and speak with an internal sales representative to discuss the specific benefits of each system to determine what would be best for your application.

Let us know if we can offer any more help.
