CW graph with C# 2010 Evaluation Version error message

Solved!
Go to solution

I was using the evaluation version of measurement Studio (cwgraph) with C# express 2010.  I bought and installed a licensed version but my cwgraph's still get the evaluation version error message.  Based on the forums I've done the following:  ran the license fixer (3D graph shows up).  Unregistered cui.ocx, deleted cwui.ocx and reinistalled.  I still get the same error and the graph controls still have "evaluation version" on them.  Is there something else to try?

Hi lls01,

What version of Measurement Studio are you using? Did you un install and re-install the same version. Could you post a screen shot of the error. I have found some documentation on this issue and I think that it will help you resolve the issue. Here are the links to it:

Why Do I Still Have Measurement Studio Evaluation Versions after I Purchased and Installed Measureme...

How Do I Manually Register Type Libraries, ActiveX Controls, and ActiveX Servers?

I hope that this helps.

I'm using measurement Studio 2010

I've attached a pdf of the error message.

error message comes up when I load a c# project

also cwgraph control has  "Evaluation copy" in the upper left corner

When I install measurement studio it gives me the options of intalling for different versions of visual studio.  The default is all versions.  I've tried this but I've also uninstalled and run for only for visual studio 2010.

I also saw the articles you referenced.  I've tried all of this at least once but I'll try again.  The license fixer shows the 3dgraph (see screen shot attached), but the article doesn't say anything about the cwgraph.

This morning I removed all of the Measurement studio software, I deleted all of the files in the National Instruments folder,  I unregistered the cwui ActiveX (was already unregistered).  I also deleted the cwui.ocx file.  I then reinstalled Measuremnt studio, it asked for a serial number again so everything was really removed.  This time I only installed the version for Visual studio 2010.   After installation I checked and there is a new cwui.ocx file.  When I open by C# project I still get the error message.

Hi lls01,

Are you a new user of Measurement Studio? Is this a new application that you are trying to create? Since you are using Measurement Studio 2010, you will need to request some legacy support for the cwui ActeveX controls. Although the ActiveX controls are installed with MStudio 2010 regular. It is also installed with most NI software. However in MStudio 2010 they are no longer activatable with out a special version provided by NI upon request. To request this legacy support please go to ni.com/info with infocode MFC Support.

Have a great day!!

Thank you,

My problem was that the Measurement studio controls were not showing on the toolbox. I needed to go to the project properties and change the framework to .NET Framework 4.   I'll change the cwgraph components to the scatter graph .net component.
