The subject says it all. I have had experience with CVI. The only real development that I did with it was almost 15 years ago. I recently learned about Measurement Studio and was wondering what is the difference. Other than the obvious of course Is there something that CVI can do that MS can not?

The most important distinction between CVI and Measurement Studio is that CVI is an ANSI C development environment, while MStudio is designed to work as a plug-in to Visual Studio for the .NET languages. Although they are similiar, CVI and MStudio are two unique pieces of software that each have their own place in the text-based world. There certainly are differences in capability between the two, but it's like comparing apples and oranges since they satisfy different needs.
