Red Bar visible at start of Tank Meter

My Company are using the NI Measurement Studio software as part of a larger solution to diagnose vehicles. We use the Measurement Studio for its Meter Controls. Below is a small image of one of our Meters, we have an issue with the red bar along the left hand side of the Meter control, I've looked though all settings from the property grid and not been able to get rid of it. We have the Tank Meter set to 'Raised3D' TankStyle, if we use a non-3D style we don't see the line, but this isn't what the customer wants, they have also complained about the red line so we need to lose it. I would appreciate some help on this problem, I'm sure there must be something we can do to remove the red line.

I've noticed that the red line only apprears when the tank is horizontal, it doesn't appear when set to vertical mode.

We are using version 8.5.35.220 (NationalInstruments.UI.WindowsForms).

Look forward to hearing from someone with a possible solution.

Many Thanks,

Steve Gregory.

Hi,

I'm not sure if this will help, but have you tried changing the fill color to white on the

'AfterChangeValue' event when the value is zero.

Just a thought.

Hi Curt,

Thanks for the feedback. My fill colour is already set to white.

I've given your idea a go anyway and still no joy.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

I managed to replicate your problem and had the same red line issue.

It goes away when you set the 'InvertedScale' property to true.

Maybe you can do that and mess around with a custom divisions collection.

Hi Curt,

Changing the invert scale seems to double the problem, see image.

I'm not sure what the red line is supposed to be showing, if I could understand this maybe I'd have a chance at resolving the problem.

Regards,

Steve

Steve,

Unfortunately, this looks like it is a bug. I have reproduced this even in version 2010 of Measurement Studio. I have filed a Corrective Action Report with number 288758. At the moment there is not a workaround. I will let you know if one becomes available or if the error is fixed.

Thanks for the reply on this item, its good to know this will be fixed.

I'm being chased by our customer for some timings on when it will be fixed. Could you give me an ETA on this. I guess its scheduled for fix on one of your releases.

Many Thanks,

Steve
