Suddenly my Visual Studio claims there is no license for software that License manager says is activated.
I already un-installed Measurement Studio 2010 and re-installed but no luck
Dont know what to try next but I hope I dont have to un-install Visual Studio

Hi jefee,
Have you seen this document? It goes over activating Measurement Studio 2010, and possible issues.

Thanks for the reply.
I read the post and tried to follow its suggestions but it did not relsove my problem though
it did provide me with some ideas.
I download the 2012 evaluation and it worked fine. Then I uninstalled 2012 and installed 2010 and my problem was resolved.
Thanks again

I am having the same issue on a XP(SP3) machine with Visual Studio 2010(SP1) installed. I have tried reinstalling both Visual Studio and Measurement Studio. No luck.
If I go to "Measurement Studio" -> "About Measurement Studio" under Visual Studio, I will get the error shown as the attached screenshot. The following is the error trace:

By the way, this computer is not going on to the network. No internet access whatsoever.
Please advice. Thanks.

Hi Deon
As I said before. The only way I got it to work was
Uninstall MS
Goto to NI website and download MS2012 evaluation and install it
Everything works
Uninstall 2012 eval
Install MS 2010 and that was then OK

What version of C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\License Manager\Bin\nilmClient.dll do you have on your system? Right-click on the DLL and select Properties from the context menu. The version number is in the Details tab.
I am investigating an installation issue where on some systems NI License Manager is not updated from version 3.6 to 3.7 during installation. If you have version 3.6, download and install version 3.7 which should have the entry points that are missing.
If this is the solution to your problem, could you please list what NI software you had installed on your system before installing Measurement Studio (a MAX Technical Report would be helpful as well). Also, what location did you install Measurement Studio from (download or DVD)?

I have the same problem. Could you please provide a link to download the 3.7 license manager. The one given above is broken.
Thank you very much

I apologize for the inconvenience, the download for NILM 3.7 has been removed for unrelated reasons. I will send you download instructions via a private message.
