Updating references for MS2015??

Greetings,

I am tasked with making some edits to an application that was developed with MS2012/VS2012.  I have since migrated to MS2015.  I am getting reference errors with some of the controls, but not all.  For instance I can drop a LED (3D) on the front panel and build the project fine and run it, no problems, no referencing errors.  However, when I close the designer window and then reopen it, that is when the reference error appears, which seems odd as I would think it wouldn't even build or run if there was a bad reference (?).  See attached image.  Migrating to MS2015 requires updating my references in the references folder, which I believe I have done.  To be clear, in what folder would the latest references that I need to use be located and/or what versions (if indeed the error is due to invalid references)??  I'm currently pointing to references located here --->

Programfiles(x86)/NationalInstruments/MeasurementsStudioVS2012/DotNET/Assemblies/Current

My application uses a WaveformGraph, Thermometer, and Boolean controls.  What dlls do I require?  I'm having the same issue with the Waveformgraph control.  My development machine is a 64 bit machine.

Thank you.

Attached is another image from a sample project with just a Waveformgraph added to a form.  Same behaviour as original post.  Builds fine.  Debug/runs fine.  Close the design window and reopen and then the reference errors appear.  Do I require to reset the toolbox and re-add the measurement studio tools??  Could MS2015 installation be corrupted/bad and a uninstall/reinstall be done?  I've tried adding every reference dll for these controls with nothing changing as far as the reference errors.

Hi!

This is really weird, you can run and build the project without any issue? it only happens when you reopen the designer window?

Did you follow these steps to update the project references

Yesterday I finally found the fix for this problem.  Here is the link from NI describing the issue and the fix.  I also found a forum thread where it appears the issue was first discovered and presented to NI.  I'm still miffed about this since it took me some time to find the issue/fix for it.  They say that "This issue was introduced in Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 and 2013", implying it is/was an issue with Visual Studio.  No, its not a Visual Studio problem, its a Measurement Studio problem!  The software (MS2015) should have been thoroughly tested in VS2012 and VS2013 before it was released.  This thread gives me the full impression that it was not.  I mean this issue would have been pretty easy to find prior to releasing, so not some hidden bug that could only be detected via developers using the software.  Anyway, I'm ranting.  I'm still frustrated over this.

Hi, Thanks for sharing how you fix the issue!

Also, there is a good forum that R&D normally check, you can post your ideas.
