What to do about "unable to load parameter assistant provider"

I am getting a number of messages from Measurement Studio on starting Visual Studio .NET, all of them beginning with "Unable to Load Parameter Assistant Provider" and continuing with various DAQmx, GPIB, or VISA providers. I have tried repairing the Measurement Studio installation, including drivers, with no luck. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Assuming you get the problem when your project opens:

If your project items are under source code control, you can get this error when you open them. If you closed your project with these project items displayed in the work area, it might cause this problem. Uncheck out the items and see if VS can open without errors.

The problem occurs on starting Visual Studio, even before I have selected a project to work on. For what it is worth, none of the projects on my Start Page are under source code control yet. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

Hello

Based on the drivers you have installed on your machine, try removing Measurement Studio support from the drivers by running their installers and unselecting them. Then try re-adding the support for the Driver installer's feature trees and start up Visual Studio again.

I hope this helps

Could you please post your registry information located at:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\National Instruments\Measurement Studio\7.0\ParameterAssistantProviders]

I would also like to know the contents of the Common directory where MeasurementStudio is installed.

I believe I had tried this before. What has apparently now worked was to uninstall all of Measurement Studio, and then reinstall it, this time not culling from the installation all of the non-essential (i.e., everything something else was not dependent on) MS VC++ support, as I had done the first time. Thank you for your help and suggestions!

Before I received your suggestion, I had started down the path of uninstalling and then reinstalling drivers, as per another's suggestion. I believe I had tried this before.
