installing NI-VISA 3.2

Hi there,

I would like to develop at GPIB application using C++.  My understanding

is that I should start by installing NI-VISA 3.2, as explained in https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/ni-visa/page/programming-gpib-devices-in-visa.html .

The problem is that when I try to select the

NI-VISA 3.2/Development Support/.NET Framework 1.1 Languages Support

in the installation, I am unable to do it.  The error message says that "This

feature is incompatible with products already installed on the computer."

I am not sure which products are causing the problem.  I am running

Windows XP, and have Microsoft .NET Framework SDK v 2.0, both of

which are required for the installation.  I also have LabView 8.5.  Could

LabView be the "incompatible product"?  If so, does that mean I can

develop in EITHER LabView OR Visual Studio, but NOT BOTH?

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Hi again,

I figured out the problem - I just needed a later version

of NI-VISA.  NI-VISA 4.3 works.
