ms 7.1 doesn't appear, even if correctly installed

hi, i have installed visual studio 2005 and measurement studio 7.1 on my new pc with vista premium. installation was fine but there is no trace of ms in the vs development environment. Any suggestions?

Hi nunzio,

Measurement Studio 8.0 and earlier do not support Visual Studio 2005 and thus you won't see any trace of integration into the Visual Studio IDE.  Measurement Studio 8.0.1 was our first release to support VS 2005 so I would strongly encourage you to upgrade to the latest version. 

Now if you absolutely can't upgrade, you can refer to the Using Measurement Studio 8.0.0 and Prior in Visual Studio 2005 tutorial. In addition, there is also some known issues when using 7.1 with VS 2005 which are mentioned in the License Exception When Using Measurement Studio 7.x .NET Libraries with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005...KB.
