How do I read temperature from K-type thermocouple using Trandiational DAQ and VB 6.0

     I have a Tranditional DAQ. I wanna read temperature or voltage from my k-type thermocouple. How can I write a program with VB 6.0? Are there any examples??

Hello ye,

What device do you have?  Are you certain that you must use Traditional NI-DAQ with it?  You can check driver and device compatibility at http://www.ni.com/support/daq/versions.htm

Examples do install with both NI-DAQmx and Traditional NI-DAQ for VB6.  See the directory C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI-DAQ\Examples

The folder named Visual Basic 6.0 has NI-DAQmx examples.  The folder named VBasic has Traditional NI-DAQ examples.  The examples should help you get started.  If you need help with a particular function call, see the reference help files at Start >> Programs >> National Instruments >> NI-DAQ >> Traditional NI-DAQ Function Reference Help or NI-DAQmx C API Visual Basic 6.0 Help.

I am also looking for some example to control NI 6527 board using VB 6.0. I went to the directory you have mentioned above, but could not find those examples. Would you mind telling me if they are available somewhere in the web?
