Could you please provide me some information. Which version of Measurement Studio do you have? Can you tell me the version number of the control? Does the control show up as an unlicensed control in the License Fixer program?

Yes, we have CW 2.0.1 and VBasic 5.0 and Win 2K. The User Interface component now shows version 6 and not 2.0.1.
For the moment we do not have any budget do buy the upgrade so we must continue on the 2.0.1

The license Fixer don't show the unlicensed version of the UI control

Dear customer,

The License Fixer was intended for controls version 3.0 and later. As you will read in our Software Support Policy, National Instruments offers support for Measurement Studio 1.0 and higher (CW version 3.0 and higher).

This could cause a problem for you because many NI installers including LabVIEW and LabWindows/CVI will install CW controls version 6.0 or higher. In your particular case, since I don't know how the 6.0 controls got installed on your machine (through evaluation software, DAQ driver, Motion Assistant, etc), I can only suggest that you wait 30 days until the evaluation controls expire, at which point you will receive a dialog window asking if you want to
revert back to CW 2.0. When you click yes, the controls will revert back to 2.0 functionality.

Hope this helps.

I believe that the 6.0 version was installed by a DAQ driver. The instalation has much more than 30 days and I dont get the revert to message. I believe that NI should not make this kind of demo update without prior consent of the user!

I did some testing and confirmed the following:
1) If user runs a program for more than 5 minutes on the machine after 30 days, he should see a Revert dialog. (We tried it in VB 5CCE and VB 6).
This successfully reverts the control and I no longer see evaluation messages or eval written on control. The control is still 6.0 though. So what you can do instead is #2 below.
2) I tried copying the old control from C:\Program Files\National Instruments\ComponentWorks\redist\ComponentWorks and registering the old control with regsvr32 command. The machine was back in the old state, and MSI didn't try replacing the control with a newer version.
2.0 controls are InstallShield-based whereas 6.0 controls are MSI-based. Removing a 6.0 control somet
imes has the side-effect of MSI trying to repair it. But this is not the case here so you should be safe.

Yes!!. It works. I wait for about 10 minutes and at the first mouse motion the revert dialog was displayed.
Thank you very much for your interest.

Best Regards.
