Remote Desktop GPIB not

Hi,

I am trying to connect to a Device via LAN  or GPIB funny is that via Remote Desktop I can establish a connection but MAX doesn't see it (neither automatic nor manual).

When I try to do it via GPIB, MAX does see the GPB connector but not the device.

What might be the reason?....

Hey Y4G,

Just to clarify some things I want to ask you a couple of questions.

When you say via Remote Desktop, do you have the instrument connected to one PC and then trying to access that instrument from another PC via Remote Desktop? 
What version of NI-GPIB do you have installed on the PC?  If you do not have the latest version I would recommend downloading it from here
Do you see your instrument in MAX when you try scanning for instruments when you are connected via GPIB?
You said MAX sees "the connector" in MAX, can you explain what you mean by this?  Is it a PCI card, USB device, etc?
