install CWDAQ.ocx for VB6.0 as components in VISTA

Dear All

I'm using VB6.0 and DIO-96 card that within VISTA environment.

I have a problem with register CWDAQ.ocx in VB6. It shows an error message " The file xx\xxxx\CWDAQ.ocx was not registerable as an ActiveX component"

If there's anyone have idea about this. Please kindly help me to solve the problem. I'll be very appreciate.

May I know your version of measurement studio?

if the version is 6.0, then measurement studio 6.0 does not support under vista.

My Measurement & Automation is version 4.5

Is this version is too old for VISTA.

Please advise me which version can sopport VISTA.

When I'm trying to register as an ActiveX component. It shows the error msg "The file 'C:\xxx\cwdaq.ocx' was not registerable as an ActiveX component"

I have install the NI-DAQmx 8.8 , Measurement Studio 8.5 Evaluation Software (MStudioEval85.exe) and also Visual Studio 2008.

The cwdaq.ocx can not be use is the Visual Studio 2008 either.

Is there anything i missed or not should be installed.

Hello Sammy.

In Measurement Studio CD, there are two softwares.

One is Visual Studio 6 support, the other is Visual Studio 2003/2005/2008 support.

I think you got Visual Studio 2003/2005/2008 support.

If you have Visual Studio 6 & 2008 in Vista, you must install both.
