I'm trying to create a button in MS VC++ to aquire an image from a NI IMAQ PCI-1408.

Apparently we have the full development version of Measurement Studio, but when I try to add the CWIMAQ activeX controls via the Project menu they come up as being evaluation only and last 5 mins before shutting down. Is this a Measurement Studio problem or are these controls added from IMAQ Vision or IMAQ Vision Builder, which we have the CDs for but maybe they're just trial versions??? I've spoken to NI and they sent out a new Measurement Studio disk but I'm still having the same problem, which makes me think maybe it's something other than Measurment Studio putting the ActiveX controls into that folder. Anyone got any ideas on how to resolve or work around this?

The IMAQ Vision controls are part of the Vision Development Module for Measurement Studio (p. 142 of 2001 catalog). These controls are a separate toolkit you purchase and are not part of the Measurement Studio FDS. You may just have the trial version of this toolkit, or maybe you have the LabVIEW IMAQ Vision toolset which is different than this toolset. The LabVIEW IMAQ Vision toolset includes these controls in trial mode so you can see them and how they work. If you mistakenly got the LabVIEW toolkit and intended to get the Measurment Studio interface, contact your sales rep or NI at 1-800-433-3488 and they can help you.
