Is it possible to create a graph that monitors pulse train from 6608 counter???

I noticed that Developer Zone has examples of creating graphs (CWGraph ActiveX Controls) that monitor voltage waveforms (Data Acquisition) from DAQ devices such as the 6533 Digital I/O (specifically the Analog and Digital inputs & outputs). I was wondering if I could do the same thing for the pulse trains I am outputing from my 6608 counters??? Can I monitor the pulse train waveforms on a graph created using Component Works controls??? If so, are there any examples of this on Developer Zone???

Thanks, Rodney

The only way to monitor a pulse train being generated by a 6608 board with the same board is to wire the pulse trian to a DIO line and monitor the line.

This would require pulling the DIO line coninuously which would take a lot of your system resources.

What if I outputted the pulsetrain to s 6533 digital I/O board via the RTSI line. Could I monitor the pulse train from there???

You can use the 6533 to monitor the pulse train. I would suggest using Pattern I/O at the highest speed your computer will allow.

There are many Pattern I/O examples for the 653x devices in the NI-DAQ directory for you to take a look at.
