Measurement studio expired first day I install

Hi Jared, its a pleasure to contribute on the improvement of MS2012 evaluation version. I´ve been doing some research about papers that lead to a getting started with measurement studio 2012 and vc++ 2010 (or at least 2005 or 2008), just like the ones available for c# and vb. If idecided to buy the standard version.. would i receive any paper or guidance on vc++ from anyone at NI on how to get started?

Hello Renato,

Measurement studio is an add on to Visual Studio that provides measurement specific user controls and libraries. NI will provide you support in how to use the different Measurement Studio add ons; however do not provide general support in how to program in C++. Measurement Studio also includes templates that help you get started on your program faster.

If you are still deciding on a language to choose, I would highly recommend using C#. This is the language that has been specifically designed for the .NET framework.

In addition to this, most NI examples you will find will be in either C# or VB .NET. There are fewer examples for C++.

Hi Jacob, thanks for your feedback. I have experience prgramming with vc++ and highly appreciate the speed and felxibility of MFC. I ve done few things on c# but now im at the point of designing a virtual instrument to aqcuare data via usb port. I have already though about reviewing again the basics of c# given the fact that theres plenty of support from NI for the language. I already made the purchase of the measurement studio and im waiting for the feedback on the activation code.. I hope there wont be any license issues either in c sharp or c++, thanks for all your support..
