converting the NI spy log file captured (a .spy) into a text readable file type?

Hi, am rather new to this forum so am not sure if this is the intended board for me to post this question of mine. i have used a NI spy log and captured a .spy log file but found that am not able to open and read it via word or notepad...anyone can kindly advise me how i could open this log file and read the contents (as when during the NI spy capturing) in a text readable form? Cheers !

Crystal,

Normally this post would go in the Instrument Control board, since NI Spy is commonly used in instrument control.

The *.spy file can of course be opened in NI Spy, and allows you to double click on each item to learn more information. If you want to be able to read your NI Spy captures in a text based form use the Export option in the File menu instead of Save. This will allow you to Export your capture as a *.txt file and open it in Notepad, Word, or any other text editor.
