Can I use SCB-68 as the motion I/O terminal block for PCI-7344?

Hi,

I am Xiaofei in the Univerisity of Michigan. Now i am using a PCI-7344 motion controller to control my nanomotion stage. Currently the only terminal block we have is SCB-68, and we will need to use the motion I/O port of the PCI-7344. So i am just wondering if the SCB-68 can be used as the terminal block of motion I/O for PCI-7344? Thanks a million!

Regards,
Xiaofei

Xiaofei,

in general you can use an SCB-68 as a connector block for 73xx devices, but using a UMI will add some very useful features like encoder signal filtering, differential encoder signal connectivity and additional security, which make motion control applications significantly more reliable. Using a UMI is highly recommended.

Please have a look at this posting for more information.
