Controller SMC100CC Set home type value

Hello,

I'm currently using a SMC100CC controller and I would like to change the home type value on labview but i do not understand what MZ switch and EoR are ? I've seen the user manuel with the command HT(home type). In fact I would like to start moving at 5units instead of 0 ? How can I do ?

I looked at the user manual for that controller, and I couldn't figure it out, since it isn't explained in that manual. I would see if you can reach out to Newport and see if they can explain it for you.

Hi,

Did you solve your problem? I have a similar issue. My optic is a retarder and the fast axis is supposed to be the 0 Position. What I tried, but appearently ist not working, is to manually allign the fast axis and then use get absolute Position and send this value to set home Type, which in my understanding should create the new 0 Position.

Some advice, how this problem CAN be solve would be awesome.
