DAQmxBase examples loading

Dear all,

I am a new relative new user of LabVIEW 8.0(2 weeks)... I take the way to step into being more familiar with LabVIEW by reading example code.

I just got a NI USB 6008, I need to input some digital input on the LabVIEW interface and make NI USB 6008 output the corresponding analog output, but I don't know what I should do (still searching simple examples). I tried to open the examples in the folder  \LabVIEW 8.0\examples\daqmxbase\(daqmxbase\static\ao\Cont Gen Voltage Wfm-Int Clk-Non Regeneration.vi). Only one opening process takes so much time... more than 5 min. Is this normal? Or any one can show me some examples, I will appreciate it a lot.

Question is not professional, thanks for understanding the trouble from a LabVIEW new user.

Dear Nicole,

The Best way to begin with data acquisition and the DAqmx driver, it is to have a look at www.ni.com/gettingstarted or at this knowledgebase "Where Can I Find NI-DAQmx Base Examples".

PS: To use the usb-6008, it is also possible to use the driver NI-DAQmx 7.5 or higher. In my opinion, I will prefer to use this one because it offers more functionalities.
Switching a USB-6008, 6009, or 6501 between NI-DAQmx and NI-DAQmx Base

Best regards,
Nick_CH
