Designing a driver for a Parker 6104 Indexer Drive

I am attempting to design a driver to control a Parker 6104 Indexer Drive.  I have successfully controlled the 6104 with basic commands, but I was hoping to be able to create a driver so the interface is simpler and changes are easy to make while it is running.  If anyone can assist in this process I would greatly appreciate it.

I can't give you any advice for the specifics of the Parketer 6104 as I don't know it but here are some links to our instrument driver development guidelines:
