How do use synchronization VIs for motion control in combination with triggered acquisitions?

I have a PCI-6602 and a PCI-6024E in combination on a single PC. I rotate a pulsed motor in Clockwise direction and start and stop the acquisition by detecting edges of the Gating counters unto the Source counters. I have successfuly done it with synchronization VIs for the three parallel loops but can't repeat them when doing a counterclockwise turn. How can this be done?

Most pulsed motors use the step and direction standard for motion control, you have to use one counter timer and one digital line to perform this kind of control. The counter timer determines how many steps the stepper motopr has advanced and the digital line state determines the direction in which it is moving. If all you want to do is use the step pulse as the source for your acquisition, you need to configure the data acquisition to run based of an external clock and the use the step pulse as the source of your external clock. This pulse happens regardles of the direction.
