Is SERCOS supported by NI-Industrial Communications for EtherCAT?

Solved!

Hello,

The EtherCAT standard supports several different Mailbox Protocols:

(source: http://www.ethercat.org/en/technology.html )

However, the following page from the LabVIEW IDE (LV 2013 SP1 + NI-IndCom for EtherCAT 2.7) suggests that only a subset of these protocols are supported by NI (CoE, EoE, FoE):

I was hoping to use a CompactRIO to control a Beckhoff AX5203 servo drive, which uses SERCOS over EtherCAT (SoE).

Could someone please confirm whether or not NI-Industrial Communications for EtherCAT supports SoE? If not, are there any plans to add support in the near future?

Thanks.

Hey,

LabVIEW does not by default support SoE; however, I know that there are some libraries made by 3rd parties for use with their harware that support it. You may want to take a look here.
