National Instruments does offer a Motion Controller (FW-7344) that is fully compatible IEEE1394 specifications. However, it doesn't offer a different driver/API for this device like IMAQ does with its 1394 driver. You would still program the device using the Flexmotion driver.

1394 interface boards(PXI/PCI) from Ratoc has been tested and approved for use with the FW-7344.
