I have MAX version 4.1 but I cannot work with a PCI-Step-4CX  card, my system is XP and LabVIEW 8

Hi,

the PCI-Step-4CX is a ValueMotion board which is obsolete for several years now. The latest driver version that supports this board is the ValueMotion 5.0.2 software. Please note that this driver is not officially supported under Windows XP. You can give it a try but NI can't guarantee that it works fine on XP.

A much better choice would be to switch to a modern hardware like the PCI-7334 which provides all the features as the PCI-Step-4CX board but it offers a much better performance. If this is an option for you, please contact our local NI branch which should be able to offer you a hardware upgrade option for your old board.
