MOTION ASSISTANT

I have Labview 8.0 and motion assistant 1.3 on my pc with a pci 7354 motion controller and a umi 7764 interface. I am able to use the simple examples that came with the software. How do I take a complex 3d drawing and convert it to use on motion assistant/labview.

1) Develop and test the movement with motion assistant.

2) In motion assistant, press Tools >> Generate Code >> LabVIEW diagram

3) Complete and adapt the diagram with LabVIEW to exactly suit your needs

There is no possibility to import a LabVIEW code (or any other code) in motion assistant.

Hi Nelson -

As JB said, there is no code-importing feature in Motion Assistant 1.3.  However, you can import a spreadsheet of spline points for contoured moves.  If your trajectory/contour generator can provide these points, you might be able to make the transition that way.

I was hoping that somone would suggest that there is a 3D program available that will eventually write to a text file or windows excel which can be used by motion assistant.

Has anyone built a joystick interface using my current setup to use the teach facility more efficiently?.
