Motion Control: UMI7764 has no signal when MAX do a motion

Hello,

I would like to ask for help on the question as stated in title.

Background:

I have connect a 7342 card to PC with UMI 7764.  After I install all the software correctly, I run the MAX (measurement & automation explorer) with right configuration.  UMI7764 has power supplied.

Problem:

I then setup the MAX to run the motor in 1-D interative.  After press start, the normal outcome be the Step & DIR pin having signal output.  But, it has not.  Surely, the servo motor connected (through the motor drive) does not move.

So,  can you help me to solve the problems

You mention servo motor- but Step and Direction outputs are typically used for stepper motors.

The problem is solved.   Thanks a lot.

The motor driver is Mitsubitshi MELSERVO motor.  The motor config is now set to "stepper motor" in order to provide the 2 signal to satisfy the motor driver input requirement.
