NI 9503 modules not showing under NI cRIO 9063 devices and interfaces

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello, I am trying to connect an NI 9503 into my cRIO 9063 to drive a stepper motor. I have been trying to find the module in NI Max to confirm that it is working, but it doesn't show up under devices and interfaces. I also tried to connect an NI 9213 to see if it was just the module that wasn't working, but that did not show up either.

I am currently using labview 2017, and I have the real time, softmotion, compactRIO software modules installed

could this be a software issue, or am I just not setting up chassis correctly.

Thanks in advanced

Hi Alecks,

Generally for cRIO modules, you will not see them in NI MAX. The exception is for cRIO controllers with DAQmx capabilities. A cRIO 906x is not one of those controllers.

See the link below for more information and how to check out your modules:

Ok, thank you, I was worried that I was doing something wrong, but I couldn't find anything about whether I was or not.
