I am a novice LabView user responsible for programming a 2 spindle winding machine. The spindles are to move in linearly increasing (and correspondently decreasing) speeds. I have accessed the NI-Motion Assistant and have been told that programming a very low acceleration with regards to the actual rpm of the motor has the same effect as programming an increasing speed profile. This being said, if i had to input a variable that would allow access into whatever databank of numbers the program has set aside for the changing speeds (due to different input diameters of a rotating spindle of unwinding/winding material), where is this task performed? I have searched the canned, example, and NI-Motion Assistant vi's and still cannot see where this interaction with the vi would take place. Help is greatly appreciated.
