I install NI PCI-7344. MAX 5.1 asks for firmware upgrade. I did it:
68331 from 7.20.3008 to 7.40.3003
DSP from 7.10.3003 to 7.32.3003.
I cannot initialize the card. MAX throws "error -70095 (NIMC_DSPCommunicationsTimeoutError) occurred in ConfigVectorSpace on Coordinate 1. Internal error. There was an internal time out while sending commands to the DSP." It happens to 2 cards in a row. They are new cards. I believed that they are working.
Please help me get over this error.
Thanks in advance.

Hi jahuynh,
Have these cards ever worked, has this issue happened all of a sudden, are they brand new? Have you tried a different PCI slot? Have you tried changing the firmware again? Have you tried it on another computer? These will help me better troubleshoot the problem.
Take a look at the links below for a good starting point.

Dear Tim,
I did try on different computer and different PCI slot. The result is the same. I got the second motion card, a brand new one. The same error happened. Now I have 2 non function cards. I attach some screen shots for more details. Greg Haley suggested me to flash 7344.fp1 so that fp1 and fp2 are the same driver.

Hi John,
Have you tried the suggestions from Greg yet? I noticed in your screen shot the FPGA 1 and FPGA 2 have different firmware versions.

I try the Greg's sugesstion. It works fine. Thank you very much.
So the [Update Firmware] button downloaded and flashed 4 firmware drivers for me: 7.40.3003 (68331), 7.32.3003 (DSP), 7.10.3003 (FPGA1), and 7.00.3001 (FPGA2). The different drivers between FPGA1 and FPGA2 is the cause of the problem. Right click on the FPGA1 item of the right list box and choose "Download to device". Initialization works fine after that.
Again, I appreciate your help and your time.
