PXI-6602 & SCB-68

Hello,

I currently own a SCB-68 with the PXI-6602. Are the two items compatible with each other?

I seem to think so but NI says they are not. The reason I called them up is because I haven't been able to get good data from my encoder.

The purchased the 2 items because on this product link the two are mentioned together.

Just to also make sure, I am using an incremental optical encoder.

Would an absolute encoder be better?

Thanks,

SparkEE

Hi,

The SCB-68 and the PXI-6602 are compatible. Maybe the issue is with the configuration of your program. Can you tell us what version of the DAQmx driver do you have? and Where are your trying to program?

Please check this two documents:

https://www.ni.com/en/support/documentation/compatibility/16/ni-daqmx-and-labview-compatibility.html (DAQmx LabVIEW compatibility)

https://www.ni.com/en/support/documentation/compatibility/17/labview-and-microsoft-windows-compatibi... (LabVIEW Windows compatibility)

What do you mean by: "How do I figure out what DAQmx version I have?"

If you have LabVIEW 8.5 ir greater you can use this DAQmx:
