Hi,
I would like to run a PXI-7324 under LabVIEW, 8.5.1, & MAX 4.4.1 is it possible?
I have legacy support installed but I can’t see it in Max and W2k can’t find a driver. I also have ValueMotion 5.0.2 installed.
The 7324 is fine using an old controller with LV6 under NT.

Jagsys,
as ValueMotion is obsolete for about 8 years now, the installer of the ValueMotion driver can't install the vis for LabVIEW 7.x and higher.
As the architecture of the 7324 is really old, there might be issues with modern chipsets and PCI to PCI bridges. Please use the PXI-7324 in the first PXI bus segment (slots 0 to 7). If this doesn't work, please provide more information about the PXI-system that you are using (controller, chassis).
I also want to add that it's highly recommended to discontinue the usage of ValueMotion boards, especially, if you are starting a new project. The PXI-7334 is a great replacement for this board. The NI-Motion API is widely very similar to the ValueMotion API, so it's not very hard to get used to it. As the PXI-7334 is based on the FlexMotion architecture, it provides a lot of more features and I/Os than the 7324, so some rewiring would be required.
Regards,
Jochen
