Stepper motor not spinning fast

I am using a stepper motor that is plugged into a stepper drive which is plugged into a UMI 7774, which in turn is controlled by a motion controller.

The specifications are below.....
I have a P70360 stepper drive & UMI 7774 controlling a T22NRLC-LDN-NS-00 STEPPER MOTOR NI Part number 780076-01.  I am using an NI PXI-7332 motion controller also.

I am trying to spin the motor at maximum RPM's for a specific distance.  The maximum RPM's for this motor is 3000 RPM's.

I am following the document that came with the controller called "Getting Started with the P7000 Series Stepper Drives".

I can get the motor to spin but I am no where near it's maximum specifications.  I can spin the motor to max speed if I use the P7000 tools software that came with the drive.

Do I need to tune this motor?  In reading on in the manual, if I wanted to tune it, I need to go to the motor calibration tab, but I cannot find one.......

Hope this is enough detail.  If not please ask.  I need help.

Thanks in advance.

I am not an expert on any of those NI products, but it sounds like you need to change(fewer microsteps/step) the microstep setting in the drive.  By the way, 3000 RPM is very fast for a stepper.  I doubt that you would have much torque at that speed, even with a 320VDC bus.
