If the UMI7772 does not have any additional circuitry for the digital I/O (as I assume, since the NI board digital I/O can be set to either input or output, and this feature is kept when adding the UMI box) you do not have to do anything. The NI board outputs can be used in both sink or source mode. Remember that the logic levels are reversed.
