Which NI motion control hardware to purchase

Gridhar,

there are several options to meet your requirements:

1. You could use SSR modules. Please follow this link for more information
2. You could upgrade your UMI-7764 to a UMI-7774. This will provide 8 DI (5-30 V, opto-isolated) and 8 DO (5-30 V, opto-isolated)
3. You could use an additional digital I/O board like the PCI-6514 which offers a lot of more features like:
   - Low-cost solution with advanced features for industrial control and manufacturing test applications
   - 32 bank optically isolated sink/source inputs (±30 VDC)
   - 32 bank optically isolated source outputs (±30 VDC, 350 mA for one ch/port, 75 mA for all ch)
   - Watchdogs, programmable power-up states, change detection, input filters, high current drive
   - NI-DAQmx software technology for highest productivity and performance (NI-DAQmx 7.1 and higher)
   - High-reliability industrial features:guaranteed industrial 24 V logic thresholds
