Hi,
I am trying to simulate a particular torque speed curve from a motor. Till now I have figured out that I can use CRIO FPGA and 9505 module to do this job. What I don't know is that which motor and encoder is ompatible with 9505 except that it has to be brushed. Can I use third party motors? If I can what things I need to see for it to e compatible with 9505.
Thank you and reards

Hi Bilal Ali,
You are quite right. If you are using only the NI 9505 then the motor has to be brushed. You can in fact use third party motors with this module. I recommend reading the specs of the NI 9505 before looking into what motor to use. The specifications of the module need to be carefully taken on board and considered. I am sure you have already viewed it but the product page offers a lot of useful information.
Did you have a particular brushed motor in mind?

Thankx a lot for your reply. Yes I know the motor I would like to use, please see the attached file. I am going to use an external power source as it requires more than 5A. Is this viable? or the only possible way is to use the 9931 to increase power?
Also as the motor does not comes with an encoder, I am going to buy an external one. i have attached its datasheet as well. So I gues this should hopefully work.
Looking forward for your reply.

i am using cRIO and NI-9505 to drive a DC brushed servo motor. how can i turn on the motor using labview program?
