closed loop stepper and gearing issue

Do you know, has this gearing bug been fixed yet and if so do you suggest we try the current version of firmware etc?

 I have just fond the following in version 7.6 release notes:

"Improved Stepper Output Generation: In previous versions of NI-Motion, the stepper output of a follower/slave gearing axis could be incorrectly generated, causing missing steps. This problem has been fixed in NI-Motion 7.6."

I guess this is the fix we need. I'll try and get machine downtime to test it in our application.

sorry for the late response, but we have moved our office, so it took my a while to get back to the daily routine.

Your findings are correct. The fix mentioned should address the gearing bug, so I guess this should fix the issue for you.
