how to simulate PWM in the simulatoin of the DC motor

Hi all,

I'm trying to simulate a DC motor with two closed loop ( current and speed)

as I have worked on this during my study in matlab, I want to do the same in labview

Now, I've done almost every thing exept PWM(pulse modulation Index) and the reason is I can't find the same function that I used to deal with in matlab ??

with this massage I'm attaching the matlab file with the a complete DC motor simulation and the same with labview without PWM

please if you know how ... let me know ???

I'm sure that it is not difficult Smiley Happy

thank you all

Hi Saed,

Thanks for posting.

We have functions for PWM in LabVIEW, where are you hoping to implement the PWM Signal in your design? Is it as a stimulus for the motor, some more information would be much appreciated.

Dear Ben,

thank you for reply, I want the PWM connected to DC motor and i think yes this will be to stimulus the motor .

Dear Saed,

A really quick and easy way of creating this Stimulus would be to use the "Simulate Signal" express VI.

As shown below configure it for "Square" and you can vary the Duty Cycle of the PWM signal.

Best of luck with the rest of your application.
