modeling and simulation using pci-7340 and umi-7774( i need an answer as soon as possible)

I am using a PCI-7340 controller and a UMI-7774, and i have a vehicle that is moving by 2 DC-Motors one for steering and the other for driving and both are controlled, but first i want to make a mathematical model of my vehicle and make simulation to my vehicle on labview so i want to know if there is the ability to do so, and how can i do it, i want only a guid lines of how to begin, for the mathematical model i will do it, but i want only to know how to start making a simulation on labview.

and thank you

Hello ni-motion,

It sounds like you might really benefit from the Control Design and Simulation module.  Check it out for some information on how you can simulate controllers and mathematical models.  If you could explain a little bit more about what you mean by "simulation" in LabVIEW I think it will help clarify what it is you need to do?  Do you need to graphically simulate your vehicle or are you needing to display the response of your system?  Thanks and have a great day.

Thank you for your reply, i want to simulate the response of my vehicle using the pci-7340 and umi-7774, but you said control the vehicle graphically, can i do so?, and if i can, could you guide me to the way that i can do that.

And thank you

Hello ni-motion,

When I stated that you could, control graphically, what I meant was that you could display graphics in LabVIEW and then manually or programmatically control them.  You could then use VI Server Property nodes to determine the position of objects as well as your mouse and simulate a moving object in that kind of a fashion.  One of the major benefits behind the control design and simulation modules is that you can simulate your mathematical model of a system and then incorporate real world restraints to see how your system reacts.  Also the modules ship with some very good examples that show some simple ways of incorporating a graphical simulation of some device with the control design module to simulate what the device may be doing.  Otherwise you would have to design something like an X-Y Graph to display your current position and how you are moving relative to your input parameters.  I hope this information helps.  Thanks and have a great day.
