Hi there,

I need to control hp 34970a through serial port. RS232 cable connected. When I ran "HP34970A Comm interface.vi", I can hear beep and it showed "RMT". But Open/close commands don't work at all. and any read will return error message. "write" command has no error message.

Hi Hai,

Can you post a Spy Capture of your communication? You other post mentioned some “strange strings” that LabVIEW returned and a Spy Capture would help identify that. Thanks.

It was solved. in the resource name I was using com1 instead of ASRL1::INSTRU.

It works perfectly now.
