quadrature encoders 7350

Is it possible to use the ni 7350 to read quadrature optical encoders. I noticed while reading the product data sheet that the are pins for channels A, C, and index but not for A-, B-, and Index-.

Thank you.

There are indeed no pins for A-, B- and Z- on the NI-Motion interfaces.

If the encoder signals are not noisy, then you can connect A, B and Z to the motion interface and left the inversed signals unconnected. With noisy signals, you should use an external differential line receiver like the 26LS32.

Ziyad,

It is definitely possible, it depends on what you're using as a breakout for the pins.  For instance, our MID drive makes all of the endocer lines (A, A-, B, B-, C, C-) available.  If you have questions about this let me know!  Thanks.
