valve control

I am supposed to control a valve whose output pressure
varies from 0~150 psi according to the input signal 0~
10v.

Initially, I have ER-8 relay accessory and sc2050 DAQ,
and control software is Labview.

Is it possible to create signals varing from 0 ~ 10v
(not on-off boolean control) using the equipment I have?

If it is impossible, can you recommend me a good
relay accessory to realize my goal?

Thanks.

The ER-8 and SC-2050 are accessories used for connecting to a data acquisition (DAQ) device. Which DAQ device do you have?

An analog output device would really be more appropriate for your application than a relay. National Instruments analog output cards are ideally suited for your 0-10V control range. For high speed output at 12 bits resolution I would recommend the PCI-671x. For 16 bit precision at modest update rates, the PCI-670x would work well. If you need high speed and high precision, you should choose the PCI-673x. You can find detailed specifications in our online catalog.

If you also require analog input, then you should look into our E Series line of multifunction IO cards, which are available
with a range of analog output capabilities.

Thanks. Brent

By the way, I have another question.
My system is composed of as follows.

First, the PC has two slots for DAQ device.
One is conneced to AT-MIO-16E-2 and the other
is to PCI-MIO-16E-1.

PCI-MIO-16E-1 is hooked up to sc2050 and bifurcated
to ER-8 relay for switch control(on-off) and scb68
for collecting pressure data.

Now, we want to replace PCI-MIO-16E-1 for the new
one. The new one must have 4 analog control outputs
for the use of 4 independent valve control and another
4 ports for receiving signals such as microphone
(which doesn't require too fast response).

Could you recommend a good DAQ and analog output device
suitable for my system.

Thank you very much.
