6008 not found in MAX

Hi all.

I bought a USB-6008 and tried to use it but its is not found by the devicemonitor or MAX. Im using Labview 2011 Studentedition and MAX version 5. The DAXmx device driver number is 9.4.0f5. When i plugged in the USB 6008 it was found by the divcemanager of Windows 7 and the driver were installed. But i still dont find the USB 6008 with the MAX and DAQmx application. Any suggestions how to fix this issue.

LED on the device flashing?

Are you going through a USB hub, or right into the computer?

If you go into LabVIEW and create a constant for the DAQmx channel, does the "DevX" show up in there?  (If this is the case, you'll need to clear the MAX database or reinstall MAX.)

One thing that will improve performance... in Device Manager, USB devices, in each of the root hubs uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".  Does nothing but cause problems with DAQs.

Besides not using a Hub, you should also try using a different USB Terminals. The cables that whire the front Terminals of a Desktop PC may be of bad quality.

Reinstalling MAX or removing MAX Database Corruption like SnowMule said is an Option:

Hi Wetze.

I found the reason for my connection problem. My seperate firewall blocked the incoming signals from the usb 6008. Thats why it wasnt found in labview. Had to uninstall the firewall...

Is there a way to use the usb 6008 togehter with my firewall? May a usb-hub help?
