The specs and user manual for the USB 6211 indicate that there is no isolation between this device and the computer into which it's plugged. I assume this would mean that the AI grounds and the digital grounds, although they almost surely go to different areas of the 6211's circuit board, are both connected to the USB common pin, and therefore are connected to the host computer's ground. Is that correct? Has NI used common-mode chokes at the USB connector to limit common-mode noise between the computer and the NI card? Is there any explicit resistance between the AI grounds and the USB ground to attempt to limit possible ground-loop currents?
Thanks for any information you may have.
